GODSMACK Frontman Loves Being Club Owner
January 16, 2003GODSMACK frontman Sully Erna co-owns a New York City club, Dorsia, in the Chelsea section of Manhattan, and it's been a popular destination with locals and celebrities alike. Erna recently spoke about what it's like being a club owner.
"I'm very psyched about it. It's really, really cool. We had [actress] Cameron Diaz in there recently, and [actor] Leonardo DiCaprio, [boxer] Lennox Lewis was in. It's been going really, really well. I'm so excited about it. I think it's definitely a cool place, two floors, it's called Dorsia, and it's right in Manhattan — so far so good. We opened it up Halloween day, and it's been doing really, really well."
For those who like rock, Erna recommends people show up Tuesday nights, which is rock night at the club. The club is run locally by a fellow named Mike Diamond, who handles the day-to-day running of the club and is entrenched in NYC's club scene.
GODSMACK's next album, "Faceless", is due on Apr. 8 through Republic/Universal Records.
